In her biggest role yet, multi-award-winner Casey Donovan shines as Deloris Van Cartier, the character Whoopi Goldberg made famous. Joining her are the fabulous Genevieve Lemon as the no-nonsense Mother Superior and Rhonda Burchmore as the sassy choir leader, Sister Mary Lazarus.

With music by Tony, Grammy, and 8-time Oscar-winner Alan Menken (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid), and a soundtrack full of Motown, soul, and disco tunes, Sister Act will lift your spirits to new heights!

The Story

When disco diva Deloris witnesses a murder, she’s hidden away in the last place she’d expect—a convent! Under protective custody, she’s roped into helping the struggling choir. As she helps the nuns find their musical voices, she unexpectedly rediscovers her own, proving that sometimes the most unexpected places can spark true transformation.

Train: South Brisbane train station is a two-minute walk from the venue. Trains with codes BDBR, BDVL, FGBN, SHBR, and SHCL stop at the South Brisbane train station.

Bus: Hop on buses 60, 61, 66, 100, 105, 107, 110, 111, and 130 to the Cultural Centre bus stop around 150 meters from the Lyric Theatre. Alternatively, you can get down at the Grey St at South Brisbane bus stop by bus 86.
